Photos - Special three way edition!

Today's photo safari is special because the awesome Eryl, from the "Kitchen bitch ponders", joined in on the fun! Eryl, F, and I each contributed a theme, which were "Change", "Mundane", and "Vital", and over the course of two weeks we each took a shot for each theme.

The results are below. If you'd like, you can try guessing who took what shots and who suggested which themes! Good luck with that if you try! : j

(Psst... Click on the pictures to enlarge them. Holding the ctrl button as you click opens pictures in a new tab in most modern browsers, or alternatively wheel-clicking)

  1. Interesting idea to have a photo challenge. I hear about writing challenges all the time. This challenge reminds me of the photography class I took with Mac Adams when I was in college. Here's his website: http://www.macadamsstudio.com/

    Love the water "damage" one.
I'm fixated on the 2nd one - the transition of life.
And I agree, the last shot is the vital elixir!

  4. Heya Theresa! I visited Mac Adams' site, interesting! Thanks for the link. : j
F took photography in college too.
    Do you still snap shots?

Everyone agrees the rose shot is awesome!

You've praised one picture from each participant, neatly done! Neatly done indeed!

Heya Eryl, I saw that people are giving gallant guesses on your post. : j

Aloha Lulu, I don't think I could guess either but I'd have fun trying. : j

  7. Ola Sangu! Nice to see you! Thanks!

That one was taken at the theatre... F took me to see a Moliere play as a post new-year surprise.

I can't really take credit for it though, it's more due to my camera being kickass and their having a big fancy chandelier. : j

  11. Hajimemashte Japan Australia! Nice to meet you. Yeah there are... My vital shot is sub par but I was more tickled by the idea than visual, which doesn't make for very good photography. : p Oh well, I'll do better next time!

Aloha Kass! I just noticed you have cold comfort farm listed as one your favourite books.. Erm, movies. It's wonderful isn' it?! We read the book to each other using the voices from the film. Heheh.
Eryl volunteered to doing another safari, so you can expect the next series of shots on feb 13th. Yeah, we're in no hurry. You can't rush fun, right? Fun is like miracles, "rush a miracle and you get rotten miracles". : j
Khnoum's mundane munch shot is lot like one the celluloid stalker might have taken... Did anyone ever take the recognition award?

  12. Hi!!!!!!! Just stopping by to say HELLO! I've been far away from blogland for too long and I just wanted you to know that I'm still alive.

  13. Howdy Heidi!
In my best doctor Frankenstein just let me say:
    "You're alive! You're aliiiive! Mwahahaha!"

  14. I think this is a delightful idea!!! Why haven't I thunk of it (knock on skull). I've written poetry to photos, but never thought to use a word as inspiration for the photo, then from there the pontification. Hmmm. What word, what word. I am so intrigued at the moment. See how well I amuse myself Pollyanna?

  15. Ha... Aloha Annie, so it goes, so it goes.
Seed to the flower, flower to the fruit, fruit to ground, and the seed is released by decay... Then begins another day.
Last I heard you were the one spreading joy, perhaps Pollyanna is a mantle that you are better suited to wear? Or should it be Pollyannie? : j

  16. I think I take more pictures of kids than anything else now. But I did get a great shot of ice on branches yesterday. The icicles were at odd angles so some seemed to defy gravity. I may put it on a post or Facebook.

    Add more pictures soon.

  17. Ooh icicles, always agreat subject for photography! I snapped some myself, a few weeks back...
Yeah I have a neat post about urban adventure in the works. Mildly set back by the fact that I'm between computers now. There's a long boring story behind that... Let's just that my smoking breaks at work have been well filled... and that I don't smoke. ; j
