That was quite something, and deliciously indulgent in this day of cost cutting. I would seriously consider getting that phone if it were available here, too, the wood would probably improve in appearance with being bashed about in the bottom of my bag. Unlike my current, very scratched, metal phone.
Aloha Theresa! Did wood ever stop being appealing? Or are you referring to the fact that the fact that the wood used for these phones is obtained through and funding forest maintenance... So the appeal wood lost by aggressive exploitation of the resource is regained by its responsible use here?
Considering how infrequently I post, it's the least I can do to find things my handful of readers will like! I'm glad I didn't miss my mark! - Salut Sangu! Yeah it is amazing! But what I didn't mention in my post is that I found out that the designer of the contraption had a hidden agenda that the advertisers didn't know about! You see, there is a mostly forgotten legend: if all the conditions are met and the time is right, beautiful music made entirely from wooden instrument can awaken the long sleeping dryads and entice them into opening a way to the fey world. It's no coincidence that the creator of the contraption vanished at the first full moon following the shooting of the advert... She knew what she was doing. : j -- Djin dobry Eryl! i know what you mean! I'd be tempted too... Come to think of it, it should be possible to make a wooden casing for any device... Given time and effort. Hmm.... I don't need another project! ; j
BTW, I use my camera as my memory too... I've gotten funny looks in underground carparks... "\flash SNAP/ Ok we're parked in G7." "What? Can't you remember that for a few hours?" "I probably can, but it never hurts to be certain." ~a few hours later~ "Hey where did we park?" Cue trumpet fanfare: Camera to the rescue!
Perhaps so Ophelia... Depending on how they go about it. : j Say, do you get a lot of people singing Simon and Garfunkel to you? More than people quoting Hamlet surely?
That is amazing. I'm sure it was fun to engineer. With everything being so high tech, they made wood appealing again.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best stuff.
That's amazing! I'm sure they had an awesome time putting that together! I echo Theresa: you really do find the best stuff. :-)
