Video - "Splitscreen: a love story" JW Griffiths

This video has been buzzing in the web, and I can see why: it's sweet and its execution is flawless.

It won the 2011 Nokia Shorts competition, and get this: it was shot entirely on a Nokia N8 mobile phone!

Splitscreen: A Love Story from JW Griffiths on Vimeo.

  1. So cool. I really love this and it sparked an idea for a commercial for the blood bank. Half screen the patient, half screen the blood donor. at the end...them passing in the street in one screen. "You never know who's life you'll save."

  2. Is it strange that the blood bank idea made me hungry? : k
Glad you liked it Annie... Now I need to see someone about getting a steak.

  3. I've seen that one - it's so cool, isn't it? I love finding random awesome stuff online.

Also your comment above this one with the word 'steak' in it has made me crave a steak. It's getting ridiculous if just a word can now make me hungry for something! :-)

  4. That's lovely. If only we all have a split screen to share our love stories.

I thought I was checking your blog at least one a week for a new post, and now I see I've missed more than one.

  5. I would watch the video but I can't seem to put my hands on my headphones at the minute. But I just thought I'd say hello, anyway. And thanks for the photo loading help.

  6. Hey there Sangu! You mean you didn't usually get hungry with the prompt of just one word? I have recollections of your hunger getting triggered by cupcakes... ; j

  7. Thank goodness you are here to cull the pretty bits from the internet, and hand them off to me like flowers.
(ps: Upstairs, the neighbor is playing opera, and though I wouldn't want it on my own stereo, it's pretty through the ceiling.)
